SOFTWARE INSTALLATION
Windows 95/98:
1) Turn on your computer to launch Windows 95/98.
2) When your Windows 95/98 desktop appears, insert Uncle Ablert's Magical Album CD-ROM
into your CD-ROM drive. Windows 95/98 will automatically detect the CD-ROM.
3) When prompted by Windows 95/98, select "Setup" and follow the instructions
on the screen.
4) QuickTime 2.1.2 is required to play the software. If QuickTime 2.1.2 is not installed
on your PC, you will be prompted to install QuickTime 2.1.2. Follow the instructions
on the screen.
5) Once QuickTime 2.1.2 is installed, you will be prompted to install QuickTime 4.0.
QuickTime 4.0 is not required to play the software, but recommended to update
your Quicktime version.
Note: If Windows does not auto-detect the CD-ROM, click the START button on your
Windows taskbar, then select RUN, and select the Install.exe file from the CD-ROM.
Click OK and the installation should proceed. Follow the instructions on the screen
to complete the installation.
Installation of Uncle Albert's Magical Album is now completed. To run the program, open
the Uncle Albert program folder using the START menu and then click on the Uncle Albert icon.
Note: Windows will detect and begin running the Uncle Albert's Magical Album program
each time you insert the Uncle Albert's Magical Album CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive. If
auto-detect is not activated on your system, Uncle Albert's Magical Album can be launched
by accessing the PROGRAMS group using the START button on the Windows Taskbar.
iMac/ G3 Macintosh:
1) Turn on your computer to launch MacOS.
2) When your MacOS desktop appears, insert the Uncle Ablert's Magical Album CD-ROM
into your CD-ROM drive.
3) Double-click on the "Install Album" icon and follow the instructions on the screen
to install the game.
Installation of Uncle Albert's Magical Album is now completed. To run the program, open
the "Album" folder and then double-click on the "Album" icon.
GETTING STARTED/INTRODUCTION
Before you start, you will need to register your name into one of the "albums". Select
one of the "wrapped albums", then type in your name and press "ENTER". If you are a returning visitor, click on the album where your name appears. Now, sit back and enjoy
your magical journey into Uncle Albert's Magical Album.
Notes: In Uncle Albert's Magical Album, you can register up to 8 users.
Welcome to Uncle Albert's Magical Album! Before you begin your adventure, you will hear a short recorded message from Uncle Albert which will provide some helpful hints. Listen carefully, you don't want to miss anything. If you need help, click on the "Whistle"
located at the bottom center of your screen. If you need to hear any of Uncle Albert's
recorded messages again, click on the "Tape Player" in the lower left corner of your
screen.
The Album
Inside the Album is where your adventure takes place. Somewhere in this album is a secret
treasure, but it won't be easy getting to it. You will have to explore all of the pages of
the "Album" to reach your goal. To explore, click on the "bookmarks" at the top or the
bottom edges of the "Album" to go to that page. Note: As you can see, not all of the pages
will have "bookmarks". You will have to find the secret to reveal the "missing" pages and its "bookmark". Only then will you be able to solve the mystery and win the treasure!
EXITING THE PROGRAM
When you're ready to quit Uncle Albert's Magical Album, click on the picture of the
"window" in the lower right corner of your screen.
